Discover the Gritty Strategy of WWII in Forgotten But Unbroken's New Demo

Inspired by XCOM, this strategy title melds World War 2 scenarios with deep personal stories. Its Steam demo is currently available for play.

For those craving the strategic depth of XCOM and the gritty authenticity of World War 2 events and genuine narratives, look no further than Forgotten But Unbroken, which now offers a glimpse through its Steam demo.

Revealed at The Future Games Show's Summer Showcase, Forgotten But Unbroken stands out as a turn-based strategy game drawing numerous parallels to XCOM. It features soldiers positioned across a battlefield ready for command. Strategic thinking is crucial before moving any unit.

What sets it apart, as unveiled by Centurion Developments, is its adherence to authenticity. This game eschews fantastical elements like wearable-enhanced abilities or instantaneous healings in favor of strategic depth and historical military tactics.

In addition, effective base management is pivotal when not engaged in combat. Soldiers won’t recover through mystical elixirs but may recuperate in the medical bay. Your base serves as the heart of your operations, where training and morale-boosting of troops take place. Whether to focus on expanding medical facilities or weapon storage will be a crucial decision, made all the more challenging by considerations such as weather conditions and disease.

According to Centurion Developments, the narrative is woven from authentic historical accounts and experiences. Players will cross paths with characters who lived through the turmoil of World War 2, chosen with utmost care and respect. At the core of the narrative is Commander Martin, whose life is profoundly affected by the war. To enrich the story, the game also integrates historical elements, such as newspapers discussing significant occurrences like the Battle of Kursk or the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich.

Forgotten But Unbroken is set to launch within the year, and a demo is already available for enthusiasts of this genre.
